We are organizing a one-day Emerging thrust areas in Research and Development of Library and Information science. This Seminar   is specially designed for the Research Students and Practitioners in library & Information Science.

Objectives

• To sensitize the workshop participants about the significance of research areas in library and information science.
• To create an awareness about various areas of research in library and information science.
• To generate knowledge about the research opportunities in library and information science

• To provide a quality interaction forum for researchers in Library & Information Science.

Activities in Seminar include

·Presentations of research topics/plans/papers by students

· Suggestions by experts from the LIS field

·Panel discussions on recent topics

CALL FOR PAPERS

We invite research students (MPhil/ Ph.D) from Autonomous Institutes, Universities and organizations to send complete research papers in their research areas.

Guidelines for sending papers

Papers would be reviewed and selected for presentation by a panel of eminent academicians. The paper must be essentially based on the author's thesis work. The manuscript should not exceed 15 pages (A4-size) in length including figures, tables, references, acknowledgments, Bibliography & Appendices. 20^Th Apr.2010 – Last date for Submission of Abstract.

2^nd May 2010 – Confirmation of Acceptance

15^th May 2010. - Last date for Submission of full paper

Registration Fee:

Rs 700/- Per Participant.
