It captures the fundamental conceptual structure of the domain. Ontology plays a great role in sharing and reusing of knowledge. So, constructing an effective ontology, we require to perform an effective analysis of the field or domain. Weak analysis results illogical ontological construction. In the literature we find various types of ontologies, for instance, top-level ontology, domain ontology, heavyweight, lighweight, middleweight ontology, etc. In this colloquium, we will discuss these various types of ontology and their construction mechanism and tools.
