2nd SoFerence: A National Level Social Conference on Failures, Learnings,
Case Studies Best Practices, and Success Stories in Library & Information

Dear Professional Friends,
With great support from many professional friends, the 1st SoFerence took
place in 2011 with following objectives:
- To publish only quality papers
- To bring democratic approach in selection of papers
- To do something unique & different than others
- To provide an opportunity to exhibit the hidden talent of LIS
professionals
- To convert Professionals tacit knowledge into explicit Knowledge?
- To create an environment for LIS professionals to come together and
share their experiences.
- To discuss on the failures, Learnings, success stories, best practices,
recent trends, etc. in LIS & related fields.
- To enhance the competencies of LIS professionals to meet the needs of
the changing environment.
The success of first event, encouraged us to organize 2nd SoFerence, which
is scheduled on 19-20 Oct 2013, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Bangalore
.

Initiatives, Best Practices, Success Stories, Current Awareness Services,
Information Retrieval & Repackaging Query Handling, Librarian as SME,
Application of ICT/LMS, Marketing of Info Products, HRM, etc.*
Surveys on Users Satisfaction, Use of eBooks / Journals, Job
Satisfaction, Career Growth, New Opportunities, etc.*
Classroom Teaching v/s Internship in LIS, Soft Skills, Professionalism,
Recent Trends, Future of Libraries, etc.
Specific to LIS and related areas.
Call for Papers:
Unpublished and original papers on the above theme are invited. Papers
will be accepted after thorough plagiarism check for stage presentation.
Further, based on the participant's feedback and editorial advice, papers
will be selected for the publication in SoFerence Proceedings (to be
published after the event as a book with ISBN). Please visit soference
