SAARC Documentation Centre (SDC), established in the year 1994, is one of the Regional Centre of SAARC based in New Delhi, India. Human resource development is an significant activity of SDC. In this regard, SDC sponsors and organizes following trainings in collaboration with NISCAIR and other partnering Institutions. 1 Short Term Training on Information Technology for Information Management for 5 weeks, sponsors two participants each from eight Member Countries. 2 Attachment Training Programme for Three Months sponsors one participant each from the Eight Member Countries. 3 SDC Fellowship for Research and Advanced Training for Six Months, sponsors one participant each from the Eight Member Countries. 4 SDC Workshop for Five Days sponsors 2 participants each from the Member Countries. Preferences will be given to young library professionals with four to five years of working experiences in automated libraries. Nominations should be forwarded by the head of the Organizations/Institutions and should be addressed to the Director, SDC. Final selections will be made by the Director, SDC.
