Nice and simple person. Very hospitable. Regular Yoga practitioner. He taught me a few yoga exercises. Very passionately implemented ISO-9000 in his Library. His is perhaps one of the very few libraries in the country to be ISO 9000 compliant. This is one of his key practical contribution to the profession for others to follow. I am sad to inform you that Dr Harish Chandra ji, the emiment professional and Librarian, IIT Madras breathed his last on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at around 5:45 pm at Chennai. The profession has lost a true professional. His immense contributions to the profession would be remembered forever.
