About the Conference
Libraries are the integral part of academic, R&D institutions and also in
a society to disseminate information and knowledge to the user community
for the betterment and well being of the society. Libraries invest heavily
for acquiring, processing and disseminating and maintaining resources by
spending huge amount of money. Therefore, these resources should be
equitably utilized to the maximum for academic and R & D excellence,
developing competency skills and acquiring knowledge for all the stake
holders in the society. Innovative programmes and services should be
designed using technologies to provide access and service to all
particularly the unreached. At present, one group of users have access to
plenty of resources but not utilizing and the another group needs
information but not getting access to the information. Therefore,
libraries should plan and design suitable programme to provide access to
information to all and connect the right users to the right resource at
the right time.
