Dear Members, As part of ongoing project, Development of OAI-based Institutional Research Repository Services in India, sponsored by DSIR, Govt of India, at the National Centre for Science Information (NCSI), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, NCSI has been helping several Institutions/Organizations in the country to setup their Institutional Repositories (IRs). We have also planned for conducting at least two workshops during the project duration to impart practical training to the participants in setting up and maintaining their IRs. The exact dates for the workshops will be announced on this and other lists shortly. In order to provide sustained help to setup and maintain IRs, we have started an exclusive discussion list called, Institutional Repositories of India Forum (IRI-Forum). Members of this forum can post queries related to IR software choices, Hardware requirements, installation of IR software, configuration, customization, administration, backup or any other problems related to IR. Based on our experiences and the experiences of the participating members this forum can be of mutual help to all the participants. You are welcome to join this mailing list if your Institution/Organization has already has an IR or is planning to have one in the near future. You can subscribe to this mailing list by visiting the site http://ncsi.iisc.ernet.in/mailman/listinfo/iri-forum. Once you subscribe, you can pose the queries by sending an email to iri-forum@ncsi.iisc.ernet.in. Looking forward to your active participation to make this forum a useful one. -- Filbert and Francis Dear Members, As part of ongoing project, Development of OAI-based Institutional Research Repository Services in India, sponsored by DSIR, Govt of India, at the National Centre for Science Information (NCSI), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, NCSI has been helping several Institutions/Organizations in the country to setup their Institutional Repositories (IRs).
