Dear Colleagues This is to ask expert opinion about the loss of books in libraries. I know of an Engineering College in Bangalore where they charge the Librarian for the loss of any books. The poor man tried his level best to convince the Management, but they are asking for rules and written documents to support his argument. Is there some provision which states that a loss of 4 books per 1000 can be considered or any rules from UGC or NCERT in this regard?. Thanks and with regards Benny Librarian TISB www.tisb.org
