Thank you Ms. Kiran Pandey for giving this very informative link. The
article is very thought provoking and written lucidly. It discusses many
innovations that libraries and librarians can and should bring up to remain
relevant to the the challenging digital age. In the Indian context, many of
the suggestions appear outlandish and too far fetched. Star war and
invisible gadgets were sometimes back were for the movie buff only.
Advanced technology has made these possible. But if this country has to
match her footsteps in matters of quality of education and research with
other technologically developed nations, a new revolutionary forward
looking charter of growth will have to be approved and implemented by our
educational planners.
