Applications in the prescribed form are invited for
the post of Senior Librarian (un-reserved) in the PB-3 Rs.15, 600-39,100 with
grade pay Rs.6600. Qualifications: Essential: i) Master’s Degree in Library Science. ii) Certificate
in Computer applications with working experience of Computers. iii) Ten
years experience in a responsible capacity in a reputed/library documentation
center, preferably dealing in social sciences mass communication. Desirable: i) Associateship in Information Science from INSDOC/DFTC. ii) Master’s
Degree in Journalism/Communication/Social Science/Humanities. iii) Published
work in Library Science/Social Science/Mass Communication. Age limit (as on 8.3.2010): Normally below 45 years;
relaxable upto 5 years in the case of SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates. The Institute reserves the right not to fill up the
vacancy advertised if the circumstances so warrant. Application form can be obtained from Section

New Delhi-110067 either in person with a demand draft for Rs.200/- in favour of
Indian Institute of Mass Communication or by sending the demand draft by post

will be paid one-way AC-3 tier rail fare (or bus fare where there is no train
