The Journal of Fluid Mechanics Prize is an award of $25,000 to one person in recognition of outstanding research in fluid mechanics. The prize is designed to return to the fluid mechanics research community some of the support it has provided to the Journal of Fluid Mechanics since its inception in 1956. It is hoped that the Journal of Fluid Mechanics Prize will propagate research in new areas of fluid mechanics by rewarding the achievements of younger researchers.
