Greetings from Jio Institute!
As you are aware, Jio Institute is setting up a multi-disciplinary
higher education institute as 'Greenfield Institution' under the
Institute of Eminence Deemed to be Universities Regulations, 2017. Jio
Institute (JI) is being planned as a student centric and research
focused next generation institution that aims to play a pivotal role in
nation building. The institution, through its academic and research
activities is expected to contribute significantly to the social and
economic development of India.
In this context, Jio Institute intends to develop a hybrid model of
digital and physical library since its inception. The library is
expected to play a pivotal in knowledge creation and dissemination to a
wider community of learners across the world. Jio Institute library aims
to reduce the barrier of access and promote the reach of quality content
to the remotest learner of the country.
In this context, Jio Institute is looking for a proven leader for the
'DIRECTOR - LIBRARY' position, who is:
· A seasoned library leader with success in world class university
settings;
· A well-known, respected for their ideas and success in implementing
them;
· Experienced in adopting, adapting and promoting digital library
technologies in supporting research and instruction in an
entrepreneurial world class university or similar;
A successful collaborator across national borders on projects of
consequence, capable of building and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
Additionally, we are also inviting applications for core leadership
positions including:
· ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR - LIBRARY TECHNOLOGIES, SYSTEMS & SERVICES: A
technology strategist who can lead the development of the digital
library platform.
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR - PUBLIC SERVICES, GENERAL ADMIN & COLLECTIONS
DEVELOPMENT: To develop the library collections and oversee the physical
library administration.
