Regional Training & Workshop on Building of Institutional Archives & Digital Libraries, 24-27 June 2008.

 

A Joint Collaboration of Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) & Sikkim-Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT)- will be held at SMIT Campus at Majitar, Rangpo, East Sikkim.

 

LIS Professionals/Students can only participate in this Training programme.

 

The Workshop will comprise Lectures, Tutorials and Hands on sessions to focus on need and purpose of Digital Library, Digital Resources, Softwares, Open Source Movement and creation and application of Digital Archives,by the eminent scholars and resource persons in this field.

 

Number of participants will be restricted to 30 (Thirty only) from Northeastern region of India only.

 

Participants will be provided local hospitalities including accommodations for the persons from outside.

 

Last date of Registration : June 10, 2008. Participants will be selected first come first serve basis.
