Mr. Saji S. Nair has raised a very important question. Though list moderation is necessary to avoid the flow of unwanted messages, rigorous scrutiny and blocking of relevant communication is actually the negation of the right to information. As pointed out by Mr. Saji, the number of mails received through LIS Forum per day is very less now a days. Hence, many of the important events and news become unknown to the library community.
