It is a great news for Indian libraries.  Congratulations for those who are responsible for making this great software available under GNU GPL.  It is one of the few Indian software which adheres to international library standards.  I am not very sure that the installation of the software is straight forward.  It might require some efforts.  But it is worth investing the efforts taking in to account its overall features and capabilities.

Dr. P.V. Konnur (Librarian, Bangalore University) will be the happiest
person with this announcement. I remember that Goa University Library was
used as test bed for testing few modules of New Gen Lib when Dr. Konnur
was working as Librarian there.
