I am surprised that the great *J Doc* has come to the level of soliciting articles (a characteristic one associates with predatory journals). The reason: Now there a surfeit of journals and not many really good authors. As journal publishing has become the most profitable business with several large companies declaring profits in the range 35-40% year after year, others are tempted to start new journals in an already crowded market. And journals like J Doc are paying the price for this folly. Arun On Mon, Jul 28, 2014 at 11:04 AM, Vandana Mahajan < VMahajan@emeraldinsight.com> wrote:
Dear All,
Just to update you about the very well known journal in the subject area of Library Studies.
The Journal of Documentation (JDoc) is one of the longest established academic journals in library and information science, providing a unique focus on theories, concepts, models, frameworks and philosophies.
This peer-reviewed journal is included in both ISI and SCOPUS. Our articles have long-lasting value, with the longest citation half-life in ISI's LIS category.
This journal provides a link between research, scholarship and reflective professional practice. It publishes research papers with novel methods or results of wide significance, in all the information-related disciplines. Critical and scholarly reviews are welcomed, as are reviews of the evidence base for professional practice, and shorter speculative articles.
You can also see sample articles of this journal at - http://www.emeraldgrouppublishing.com/products/journals/journals.htm?id=jd#s...
Please let us know if you want to subscribe the journal or for any further information.
With Best Regards
