Report of SALIS Delhi Chapter inauguration - reg SALIS Delhi NCR Chapter SALIS Delhi NCR Chapter was inaugurated on 18th June 2004 at Jeepee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, Delhi. Mr. Sanjai Kataria welcomed the gathering. Dr. Harish Chandra, Librarian, IIT Madras explained the need for opening a SALIS chapter at Delhi and also pointed out various services SALIS providing to the professional community. A.Hariharan, President, SALIS spoke about the objectives and various programmes being conducted by SALIS through its various chapters. Dr. Shalindra Kumar, Reader, DLIS, Delhi University briefed the gathering about his experience with SALIS and appreciated SALIS E-Group for providing wonderful service to the professionals. Prof Nigam, HOD, DLIS, MCRP University stressed the need for organising professional programmes at Delhi region by SALIS. Mr. Kumar, Chairman, SALIS Delhi, Chapter sought the cooperation of the members to organize various programmes. Mr. Sanjai Kataria, Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
