EDC- DL prototype for dot-EDU India Instructional Materials@Vidyanidhi A prototype digital library has been built for the dot-EDU India Interactive audio-video Instructional Materials using the Greenstone Digital Library Software. A demo version of the same is hosted on the website- www.vidyanidhi.org.in/edcdl The prototype with the current collection of 125 Interactive Radio Instructional materials is made available as EDC- DL- in a box. Dot-EDU Technology Tools for Teaching and Training (T4) is a project sponsored by USAID and implemented by Education Development Center (EDC) and its 39 dot-EDU NGO and government partners. Dot-EDU T4 was created to improve the quality of education in selected states in India. Education Development Center (EDC) and its 39 dot-EDU NGO and government partners believe that educational quality and equitable access are intrinsically connected. They aim to improve the mass delivery of educational quality in order to have an impact on what is learned and who is learning it. EDC and its partners are making great strides towards achieving these goals in the target states of Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand. This project seeks to accomplish its goals through carefully planned, locally-developed applications of digital technologies, coupled with workshops and interaction with the communities. For more info- www.ies.sdc.org http://www.ies.sdc.org/ The EDC-DL project is a consultancy assignment to the Vidyanidhi Digital Library @University of Mysore.
