Dear Forum Members,
An institute Seminar (a Weekly event) at the Central Food Technological Res. Institute (CFTRI) Mysore was given by Mr. H.Y. Mahakuteshwar Deputy Director & Head, National Info. Centre for Food Sci. & Techno. (NICFOS)/ Library & Info. Services, on 26th Feb. 2009 from 4-5.30 pm on the topic: Scholarly Communication: Will the Traditional Journal Survive the advent of Open Access Movement and Institutional Repositories?"
The seminar was well attended by scientists, research scholars and students of the institute and there was a lively discussion in the form of questions and answers at the end. The PPT presentation was aided by Ms. Padma and Mr.Sanjailal the staff of NICFOS.
The purpose of the seminar was to create awareness on OA & IRs amongst the staff and students of the institute.
