Dear Library Professionals, I am very happy to inform you that Indian Academic Library Association (IALA) submitted several representations to last UGC sixth Pay Review Committee and thoroughly explained about the issues of University LIS Professionals to all the members of Pay Review Committee and achieved almost all benefits on par with teachers except couple of issues. You are aware that recently UGC has constituted Pay Review Committee under the Chairmanship of Prof V.S. Chauhan for pay revision of academic staff of Universities and Colleges based on seventh pay commission. As IALA is planning to submit representation to seventh UGC Pay Review Committee, all the University LIS Professionals are requested to send all their Pay related issues/problems and anomalies concerned to University LIS professionals at the earliest so as to enable IALA to send representation to UGC as early as possible.
