With great pleasure I am extending a warm invitation to all the previous, preset and budding researchers to the Internal Open Viva-Voce of my 12th PhD Candidate - Mrs. Mamatha, N Librarian FGC, Kuvempunagar, Mysore - 23, scheduled to be held on the 10th of Feb'2017 at 4 PM at the MyDLIS seminar hall, Manasagangothri, Mysore-6.The topic assigned to her was- *'An assessment of the attitude towards collection security issues in college libraries'. *The investigator has used a combination of survey research methods. The tools used are Questionnaire, Interview Schedule and Physical verification of books to identify the extent of damage caused. Samples were drawn from the select first grade colleges affiliated to the University of Mysore. The researcher has used simple averages and some statistical techniques to test and verify the hypotheses. The examiners have highly appreciated the work, which is more or less from the conventional research domain in LIS in the IT age. The findings and the results of the study are useful to all libraries in general and first grade college libraries in particular. I once gain request all the LIS friends to join me in the celebrations of the award of PhD to Mrs. Mamatha, N. from the University of Mysore, which has just now completed its centenary celebrations.
