INTRODUCTION

The SHPT School of Library Science of the SNDT Women's University, has a long tradition of continuing professional education. The school has organized various workshops offering librarians an opportunity to update their professional knowledge and skills.

This year, a two-day workshop is planned to help LIS candidates to prepare for the State Eligibility Test, to be conduced in January 2009.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the workshop are

To introduce the range of topics covered for SET examination
To provide guidance in the required reading and preparation for SET examination
To explain how questions need to be analyzed and understood
To discuss how to structure the required answers
