Respected Friends. The ALA can be considered as cream of the crop in Knowledge world. To justify this statement it has took an initiative to honour the best book in library literature. This award was initiated in Annual Conference held in Anaheim from June 26 to July 2, 2008. It has been decided that from 2009 through 2013, the Greenwood Publishing Group Award for the Best Book in Library Literature will consist of $5,000 and a commemorative plaque. It will be given to an author or co-authors whose work exemplifies excellence in library and information studies. The director of Greenwood Publicity believes that an informed, up-to-date library is a healthy, vital and productive one.
