CIEMCA/ COL is also an associte of this event. ICDL 2004 will facilitate interaction between experts and others, bridge knowledge gaps between developing and developed countries, and initiate capacity building activities in DLs (digital libraries). The deliberations of globally renowned experts - and subsequent discussions - during and after the conference, will help develop a road map for the digitization of archives, manuscripts, and libraries. ICDL 2004 will also provide directions on available technologies, digitization acts, DL policies, knowledge-sharing mechanisms, multilingual issues, etc. Who should participate? ---------------------- ICDL 2004 will witness cross-disciplinary participation by policy-makers, information scientists, and professionals involved in DL research and practice across the world.
