Carey School of Business, Arizona State University, USA. His current research focuses on Health Information Technology, Business Process Change, Security and Information Supply Chains. He has worked with a number of organizations on Information Systems and Business Process related issues. He has been a Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator on several projects with Corporations (including Intel, IBM and others) and Government entities. Dr. Santanam is a guest editor of a special issue of the Journal Decision Support Systems on "Cyber infrastructure for Homeland Security: Advances in Information Sharing, Data Mining, and Collaboration Systems." He serves as an Associate Editor for Information Systems Research, Decision Support Systems, Journal of the Association for Information Systems and Journal of Electronic Commerce Research.
