Greetings!!! Open Access Week Oct 24-30, 2011 had passed without much activity here in India... I have not seen many posts except two or there... did i miss them or what?? But concretely .... I have not heard anything from LIS professionals on Open Access... I am curious to know what is your stand on Open Access?? There is AALDI... Agricultural Librarians Association.... they have still reservations on Open Access... they say that they cannot make their journal open access... as they would loose revenue... please comment.. They have established Krishi Prabha... all thesis are scanned... no fulltext search facility... and only thru web browser you can read... not off-line readability.... But we have Vidhyanidhi and Shodhganga... I am surprised why LIS people could not support/educate the Krishi Prabha project people to work on lines of Vidhayanidhi/Shodhganaga??
