Its with utter sadness I regret to inform all the LIS fraternity the Sad Demise of Prof K S Deshapande the legendary Librarian, teacher, philosopher a great thinker and a person who really spread the messages of Ranganathan practically through his many decades of services.

He breathed his last this afternoon around 1,30 pm(Aug 4th) at his residence

May the almighty rest his soul in peace and give his family members the strength to bear the loss.

Its a big loss to the LIS profession in Karnataka and India
