Dear all, Library professional with MLIS qualification should get at least INR 13,000/- monthly stipend. In cities like Bangalore, I must have to say that it is the cheapest ever in the state. In Metropolitan cities like Bangalore, if you pay more than 20,000 INR to trainees, it will not be a joke..................................................... The authorities and Library Associations have to raise their hands in this regard. Yours respectfully, AL-RASHID, A. It never ceases to make me wonder how the salary / stipend for both BLIS / MLIS is the same. Shouldn't we professionals encourage (wel actually insist) to our institutions that MLIS be paid higher?
