I myself is working on the middle level in hierarchy in this profession, and still waiting for the frequent email through this forum with suitable vacancy either for professional assistants or for the other suitable designations.

It is still surprising to see that we have more openings coming up for librarians or assistant librarians, deputy librarians, in spite of more number of posts for the other designations. Does it mean that either rest of them is being filled up with the word of mouth recommendations or there is a shift in kind of human resource required in this profession?
