About the Department of Library, CIT The Department of Library, CIT functioning in the vast area of15,000 sq.ft. The main objective of the CIT library is to provide information services and access to print and e-resources to support the scholarly and informational needs of the institute community. The fully automated library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of books, print and e-journals, back volumes and non-book materials.The CIT library has been subscribing many on-line databases and e-resources including IEEE, ASCE, ASME, Science Direct, Springer Link, Mc-Graw Hill’s Access Engineering Library, J-Gate Plus, GREENR, ASTM, NPTEL etc. The library is also a member of N-LIST, DELNET and American Concrete Institute, USA for sharing / accessing information resources and servcies. About SALIS SALIS is a registered national professional body, actively involved in the development of all spheres of LIS by organizing various programmes such as conferences, seminars, workshops and training programmes on emerging topics throughout the year in various parts of the country through its chapters located in many places. SALIS publishes national and international journals, proceedings and newsletter for exchange of information and knowledge among LIS professionals. SALIS instituted many awards to encourage and motivate LIS professionals. In case of non-availability of rooms in the hostel, accommodation will be arranged in the nearby hotels on extra payment.
