Dear LIS Professional friends,
I do not know whether there is any order regarding 'librarian is eligible
to teach......'. But there are certainly some orders related to the status
of librarians of academic which speaks 'Librarians are academic Staff' /
'Librarians are non-vacational academic/teaching staff'.
*As far as starting of new courses are concerned one must be careful to
abide by the recent guidelines of the UGC. Please refer UGC notification D.
O. F. No. 5-1/2013(CPP-II) dated 11.09.2015 to be read with UGC Public
Notice No. F.5-1/13(CPP-II) dated 21.08.2014 and UGC notification dated 5th
July 2014 on specification of degrees. *All of these three are self
explanatory and many other related circulars/notifications are available in
the UGC website. All professionals or decision maker should read them with
patience before being over-enthusiastic to start a new course on Library
Science of any level.

If anybody has UGC/MHRD orders regarding librarian is eligible to teach (Library and information Literary/Library and Information Science subjects etc) orders kindly send, It is urgent requirement to submit Higher education council of Karnataka. we are proposed to introduce above mention subjects in UG level in Karnataka, but in higher education council VC meeting a single query raised by a VC. So please anybody has MHRD/UGC orders kindly mail me as immediately.
