Prafulla Chandra ---------------------------------------------- POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT The Dharma Vana Arboretum (DVA) is a non-profit international tree park under development over an area of 455 acres at Bhongir, Nalgonda district. In this park, a wide variety of trees would be cultivated. Designed to be among the largest arboreta in the world and the largest located in a semi-arid tropical climate, the DVA's primary scientific mission is to collect and preserve threatened and endangered species of indigenous trees, with an emphasis on the Deccan Plateau and the Eastern Ghats. The DVA invites applications for the position of: Database Input Developer (Botany) The position is based in the DVA's administrative office located in Cherlapally, about 17 km from the Secunderabad Railway Station. Qualifications i) M.Sc. (Botany, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forest Sciences, Silviculture or any related subject); AND / OR ii) M.L.I.Sc. or any equivalent degree Essential skills i) Ability to type with speed and accuracy ii) Familiarity with internet browsing iii) Good communication skills, both in written and spoken English Work Hours: 5 days a week (Monday through Friday, 9 am to 6.30 pm) Equipped with state-of-art ICTs, on-job training facilities, a special library consisting of 800 documents devoted to botanical literature and access to global databases, the DVA offers a pleasant, comfortable and enjoyable work environment with enriching opportunities for professional fulfillment.
