You would be glad to know that UNESCO had initiated a project entitled "Train the Trainers (TTT) Workshops on Information Literacy". In all 12 Workshops are being organized throughout the globe. Punjabi University is hosting the "TTT Regional Workshop on Information Literacy (IL) for South and South Asia" from 5-7 November 2008. In this workshop, IL trainers and other interested professionals from 14 countries of South and Central Asia are expected to participate. The number of participants will be between 30-50 and facilitators for this workshop will be of international standing. This is only a very brief information for the stakeholders. More information will be flashed in the next mail and also put on a dedicated web page created by us for this purpose.
