Dear Professional Colleagues, It is shocking to hear the sad demide of Professor Ganesh Bhattacharya. His was a great soul. A passionate human being and a original thinker. He was also instrumental in making the flag of DRTC fly high as its Head in addition to stalwarts like Prof.A.Neelameghan, Prof. M.A.Gopinath and others. As a teacher and researcher he earned highest reputation for himself and the institutaion. His fundamental contributions like POPSI and other research papers earned him international recognition. His love and kindness for students edeared him to them. His lectures ,teachings and discussions are still remembered by many students and professionals. He used to be so lively in seminars and conferences and always used to leave a lasting impress upon the participants.He will be remembered by all for all his contributions for a long time to come. Another star has set in the skies of LIS. Let the Almighty give his family particularly Mrs.Bhattacharya ,all the streangth required to sustain such an enormous but inevitable loss. .
