Saleem, Commissioner of Police, Mysuru City, hails from a town near Bangalore and has a brilliant academic record. He has a Degree in Commerce, a Master’s in Police Management and a Doctorate Degree in Traffic Management from Bangalore University in 2010. He was selected through the All India Civil Service Examination to the Indian Police Service (IPS), Karnataka Cadre. His contribution towards society is humongous. He has brought in a massive change in the traffic system. He is a person with rich professional experience that has already added value to the citizens of Mysuru. He has held prime positions in his profession across the state. His contribution to the Public and Police force shows the intensity and the quality of his work. He has a long list of awards that stand testimony to his diligence and commitment to his profession. The list is beyond any that can be generated here. He has established functional Help Lines like "AASARE" for the aged; "SPANDANA" for women; "MAKKALA SAHAYAVANI" for children; introduced Simputers for Traffic Enforcement; “Safe Routes” for school-going children and many such for the betterment of the public as a whole. We are enthralled by it. His most important message has been “Life is also like traffic at times it does get jammed. Patience is the answer to it.
