Dear Ms Smita, Open eNRICH -a CMS - is said to be used widely (nationally & internationally) for content management. NIC has prepared and is revising a Panchayat Portal consisting of a website for each panchayat in the country numbering more than 2, 66,000 using this software. M S Swaminathan Foundation, Chennai has been using the software for many years for managing their rural knowledge centers. The revised version of the software appears to be released soon and it will be more user-friendly. I don't have direct experience with it, but have seen using it effectively. All those who are very familiar with it say that open eNRICH is powerful and friendly software for content management. It is free. It can manage amazingly large size of materials as I could understand. Please get technical advice from those who deal with it in NIC. The details of the software can be had from enrich@hub.nic.in or the website http://www.enrich.nic.in/default.htm Regards, K Rajasekharan Librarian, Kerala Institute of Local Administration(KILA) Mulagunnathukavu, Thrissur - 680581 , India Ph 0487 - 2200244+208 (O) 2201428 (R)
