Call for Award Nominations

Nominations are invited for the 2009 SATKAL Awards given each year to an individual for outstanding achievement in Library and Information services and for promoting Librarianship. The deadline for nominations is July 31, 2009.

* Young Librarian Award
* Woman Librarian Award
* School Librarian Award
Eligibility

The Library and Information Science professionals working in Indiaor outside India of Indian Nationality/ origin are eligible to apply.
Age Limit : For Young Librarian Award, Professional must be below 45 years.

The nominations can be either self nominations or nominated by a Senior Professional. In case of School Librarian it should be recommended by the Principal of the School.

Written nominations must include

Name of the nominee, Job Title, Organisation, Mailing Address, Phone No., Email Address, Award Category, A detailed profile highlighting the educational & professional experience, significant contributions made in the field of Library Science, publications etc., a paragraph (limit to one page) stating how do you find yourself eligible for the award.  

The only way the people who make a difference can be recognised is if? you? Nominate them. Do it now.
