I am also agree with Dr. Padmanabha. Even sometime people don't put the
efforts to search the articles on Google or other resources. I just thought
a conference paper at Sr. No. 2 may be available somewhere and found a link
below.

Librarian's are teachers of teachers rightly said but this example indicate
neither user nor librarian is having thrist of information to get and
provide.

I wonder what prompts librarians to pass on wholesale all article requests they get from their patrons to lis-forum. I can understand if such a long list as sent by Sri Manjunath is addressed to a consortium where each library is obliged by terms of consortium to help each other. I suspect they don't even bother to check what is asked for , whether they are within the interest of their organisational goals, whether they have already been procured in response to another researcher, whether any specific library is holding the journal issue in particular (such sources have been identified by others and info circulated already) so that response will be positive etc. For instance item 12 of Manjunath's list - what exactly does he or his studet/faculty member wants?!
