Anyone working in the area of comparing citation databases such as the Web of Science, Scopus and Scholar Google will find a goldmine in the work of Prof. Peter Jacso of the University of Hawaii. He has written many papers and made many presentations, all meticulously researched, and has shown that WoS continues to score over others in most respects. Prof. Jacso wrote a paper on this subject for Current Science about a year ago, when we brought out a special section in honour of Dr Eugene Garfield on his 80th birthday. I am sure people like Subir Sen, Dr A R D Prasad, Filbert Minj, Gunasekaran, Shahabuddin, Prabir Ghosh Dastidar, Sukhdev Singh, Dr D K Sahu and several others in India would like to do a similar study on citations to Indian papers as seen from different databases. Best wishes.
