Dear Colleague The Central Library, IIT Bombay has planned to organize a 2-days Training Workshop on Optimal Use of e-Resources available through the INDEST Consortium on 27-28 May 2004. The workshop is aimed at imparting training to the librarians and other staff in the institutions to ensure optimum utilization of INDEST resources for the benefits of their users. It will also provide participants with an opportunity to discuss their concerns and difficulties directly with database producers / vendors. Only 30-35 participants, on first-come-first-served basis, will be taken for the course from engineering and technology institutions, NITs and other engineering colleges, preferably from the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa. Preference will be given to those from member institutions. Interested persons may forward their application in the enclosed proforma by email / fax at the earliest to the Librarian, IIT Bombay. Participants will be provided hostel accommodation free of charged. TA/DA will have to be borne by the participants or their organizations.
