This simple definition has now evolved as the ability to identify, interpret, create and compute various materials. Information literacy is an extended form of literacy. In academia, information literacy is defined as an ability to know the need of information, identify the right information and its effective use in our daily scholarly and academic activities. The concepts like literacy skills, literacy forms and models are the essential aspects of information literacy.
From being information-driven society, there is an increasing emphasis on data-driven society. Similar to information literacy, data literacy is the ability to read, create and communicate data as information. It is the ability to derive meaningful information from data. It is at this crossroads, that it has become more necessary to know about data. This
