The Bombay Teachers Training College has been preparing professional Educators for the last 40 years. The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and recognized by NCTE. It is one of the Institutions under umbrella of the prestigious Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board.
The college is orgnizing National Level UGC sponsored conference on 6th and 7th April, 2010.
Theme Of the Conference
Landscapes of Learning: A celebration of Diversity
The landscape of Learning have already changed over the last decade. Learners being their own individual approach, talents and interests to the learning situation. The context in which some one grows and develops has an important impact on learning. We have few teaching models that appropriately accommodate both consistent educational values and human diversity.
Objectives of the conference
1. To create an awareness among the target group about uniformity and diversity in education.
2. To redefine the fundamentals of quality in the educational process and learning outcomes.
3. To foster leadership for human excellence in a multi-cultural competitive society.
4. To develop a multi-cultural approach to education.
5. To explore the potentials of new synergies of education.

1. Striving for Quality
Quality is a fundamental consideration at all levels of educational planning and policy making. Quality needs to be identified, strived for and evaluated in terms of learning outcomes
2. Pathways to Life long Learning
The field of education encompasses adult, continuing vocational and school education at all levels. Despite the diversity, some features like competency based training, inputs into curriculum design and specific skills development are common.
3. Dimensions of Leadership for Human Excellence
Within our multicultural competitive societies the role of education is vital importance to the future of individual and collective development of the world. Leadership is key to the transformation and development of Humanity.
4. Cultural Perspectives for Learning for tomorrow
Multiculturalism respects cultural variations rather than requiring that dominant culture assimilate the various cultures. It holds that certain shared cultural tenets are important to society as a whole, but that some cultural differences are important, too.
5. New synergies in education
The potential for these linkups are immense, synergies between entities need to be explored to bring quality to educational systems.
Target Group
The target group is teachers at all levels, student teachers, administrators, teacher educators, researchers, corporate sector, policy workers, curriculum developers and professionals interested in teaching learning process.
Submission of Abstract and Paper
The participants are requested to send their abstract and paper not exceeding 250 words and the complete paper 1500 words as an e-mail attachment in DOC format or on a CD through post or courier at the college address to reach on or before 31.03.2010.
