Dear Moderator
Kindly post this message.
Can anybody suggest an integrated software which could help us manage the library as well as maintain a digital repository of drawings, images, maps and documents. Hopefully a proprietary software,
Dear Ms. Vaidehi, If you are ready to work on open source solutions, you can use KOHA or NewGenLib for Integrated Library Management applications and Greenstone (or a similar solution) for digital library application. You can details on Greenstone at http://greenstonesupport.iimk.ac.in/ or at http://greenstone.org. A project on the above topic was done by Dr. Anuradha of NCSI and the details were already posted in this Forum. You can see it at http://ncsi.iisc.ernet.in/pipermail/lis-forum/2009-October/009903.html You can also get some additional information at http://oakn.healthnet.org.np/ on this. Best wishes, Sreekumar Greenstone Support for South Asia though options to open
source are also open, in case full data security is ensured.
Thanks
