Brainstorming Meet On Open Access, FLOSS and Copyright Law for Scholarly Communication and Literary Work 26th April, 2008 at Indian National Science Academy, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg New Delhi The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) is organizing brainstorming session on the 26th of April, 2008 at its premises. The major aim of the meet is to draft the recommendations for changes in Policy and Law to the Government of India to be in tune with changing technologies in the new information era and the international developments. The meet will start at 9.30 AM on the 26th. The first session will concentrate on OA and FLOSS. Lectures by Prof Subbiah Arunachalam, Dr Sunil and Dr Sahu will be followed by a discussion on and finalization of the Recommendations for changes in Policy and Law for enabling an Indian initiative in OA and FLOSS. After a Coffee break between 11.30 AM and 12.00 Noon, there will be talks on Copyright for Scholarly Communication and Literary work by Prof N. Balakrishnan and Shri Pravin Anand. From 1.00 PM to 1.30 PM, the draft recommendations will be brainstormed and finalized. The meet will end with a Lunch. The outcome of the meet will affect you directly or indirectly.
