Excellant and encouraging response from Prof Shalini.
Initially, persons close to associations like IASLIC, INFLIBNET BONET
IATLIS etc could be persuaded to forward their directories/membership
lists to Dr Shalini. All such lists, may be consolidated, duplicates
removed and left to be updated by individuals via WEB based front end
proposed by Dr Urs. Anybody would sit up and look up once the database
reaches a critical level, say some 25000 records of Indian Librarians.
Then access can be priced for nominal sums for commercial organisations
like book sellers, publishers, authors etc. Entire Librarian community
would stand to benefit.
