
*Azim Premji University - Internship Programme on Information and Knowledge Management* The Azim Premji Foundation works extensively on Education, particularly on public school systems in many states of India to realize the Foundation’s vision of facilitating ‘a just equitable, humane and sustainable society’. Azim Premji Foundation established the Azim Premji University in 2010. The University supports the Foundation through its programmes of study that prepare graduates and development professionals with integrity, competence and social commitment. The University offers a liberal undergraduate degree in the Sciences, Economics and Humanities and postgraduate degrees in the fields of Education, Development, Public Policy and Law & Development. The University’s research programmes contribute to knowledge and ideas in these areas. There is a strong emphasis on theory practice linkages in all the activities at the University. *Knowledge Resource Centre* Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) is a network of people and libraries and its aim is to enable knowledge exchange within and outside the Azim Premji Foundation. The University library is part of KRC and its primary objective is to cater to the information and knowledge needs of Students, Faculty, Scholars and Field partners. *We invite bright and enthusiastic post graduates in Library and Information Science (MLIS) who resonate with the purpose of the University to join us for the programme.* We are particularly interested in candidates who are passionate about understanding and learning end to end knowledge management and library and information services in both physical library spaces and virtual platforms. The selected trainees will go through a structured mentoring and learning programme for a period of two years. There will be a performance review after the completion of first year. Only the candidates who perform satisfactorily during the first year will progress to the second year. *No. of positions* Five *Qualifications and Academic Record:* Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from a recognized University or Institute with a minimum of 50% marks. We prefer recent post-graduates.
