Coincidently, perhaps it was me who ever thought of linking GSDL with ISIS. My experiment dates back to Dec 2002 with a record date of submission as 24 February 2003 at http://dlist.sir.arizona.edu/187/ I wonder if anybody thought of it before? It gives a very simple but all powerful approach which could be useful for some. --Sukhdev Singh, NIC. http://indmed.nic.in On 2/21/07, Rajan <rajankila@hotmail.com> wrote:
Dear All,
It appears that a few Librarians are not clear as to whether their CDS/ISIS library catalogue can be converted into greenstone. It is very easy to convert CDS/ISIS catalogue into greenstone, with a few mouse clicks. The details are explained in the guide by Mr Pablo Moreto and Dr John Rose, already available at http://greenstonesupport.iimk.ac.in/Documents/CDS-ISIS_to_DL.pdf
If librarians using CDS/ISIS are not learning greenstone, they are loosing a chance to present their database in an entirely different - but beautiful - output.
