Dear All In this world, where health is a major concern, health literacy tends to be essential for the maintenance of our health and a healthy well being. Hence, today the collective move should be on a continuous effort from all of us in order to create a health literate society. In this regard, we are happy to inform you about a new academic initiative for the purpose of disseminating health literacy to members of various Institutions. It is an initiative to connect the libraries of various institutions- there by disseminating health literacy education to members of participating institutions through dedicated online channels. Libraries play a crucial role in the dissemination of health literacy to library users as evident from the recent literature on the changing roles of library and Information centers. We have named the initiative as “Health Infonet”. Health Infonet is a not-for-profit initiative; it is a mission. Health Infonet is a platform for collaboration of institutional and health care experts' aiming at the dissemination of health literacy. Health Infonet was selected as one among the best projects under the One MP-One Idea event recently.
