Dear Professionals,
While striving hard for the better positions and looking for better earnings, are we in the verge of change in our profession?

Is any one of you ever realized or come across such situations in your career?
May be many more people are experiencing as the same as we do today, we feel that we have left out of that traditional Library activities such as of meeting users demands, procuring reading materials, classifying books, so forth routine jobs.

But thinking that we may be shifted to the other side or the next step of the Librarianship ie., doing technical documentation. It includes building Online fulltext Database, extracting metadata, developing local standards for selecting, procuring, collecting, storing and retrieving the technical documents, seting Goals or Targets, facing the pressure coocker situations. To add the spice to all these activities is to utilization of Librarianship skills. At the same time we feel that, we may not be doing all that of Librarianship activities as such.

This kind of a change I have noticed in many other professions also!!!

We appreciate your comments and remarks in this regard.
Thanks
Ishwar Bandi
