St.Agnes College Autonomous Library (A college with Potential for Excellence) is organizing a scholarly event during two days UGC Sponsored National Conference in Library and Information Science on the Theme-Empowering Library professionals in Managing Digital Resources and providing Extension Activities on 18^th and 19^th of January, 2010, at St.Agnes College, Conference hall.

Experts from the field will discuss on the current issues like Institutional Repositories, open access initiatives, developing digital library and Extension or outreach activities of the libraries etc.

I invite you all to attend the conference and make your stay memorable in *'Namma Kudla'* (Our Mangalore)

Participants are provided an opportunity to present a paper on the above theme. We have received a  good number of articles and on demand the date for submitting an article has been extended till 25^th of December, 2009.

Last Date for Registration: January 5^th, 2010

Submission of papers: December 25^th, 2009

Intimation to the participants: December 31^st, 2009

Registration Fees: Rs.500/

Spot Registration: Rs.600/

Accommodation: Arrangements will be made for the delegates on request with an advance payment of required amount by separate DD.(Room rent – Rs.200 to Rs.1000 per day)
